Frequently asked questions
Funds lock in the InfluenceEscrow smart contract the moment a brand hires a creator. Once the creator submits proof of the completed work, the brand has 48 hours to review and approve — releasing 99% to the creator and 1% platform fee instantly, on-chain. If the brand doesn't respond in that window, anyone can trigger an automatic release, so a creator is never left waiting indefinitely on an unresponsive brand.
Most disputes are already handled by the contract itself: a brand can cancel and reclaim funds any time before the creator submits proof, and can only release funds after reviewing what was submitted. For disagreements that need human judgment — like whether delivered work matches the brief — file a complaint above with the deal ID, or message us directly. Reviews left on a deal are public and on-chain, and factor into a creator's reputation.
Listing a creator profile is fully self-serve on-chain via "Join as Creator" — anyone can do it. The "✓ Verified" badge shown on some profiles is granted by the Influence team after manually confirming a creator's identity and social presence. Reach out via Support to request verification for your profile.
Connect a wallet (MetaMask, or Twitter/Email via social login), go to "Join as Creator," fill in your profile — niche, rate, socials — and submit. That writes your profile directly to the on-chain CreatorRegistry. No approval step needed before you can start receiving hire offers.
No signup required for brands. Connect a wallet, browse creators in the marketplace, and click "Hire" on any profile — that locks USDC in escrow and starts the deal immediately.
Notification emails (hired, funds released) only go out if you've added a notification email under "Join as Creator" → Notification email, confirmed with a wallet signature. If you registered a profile but never added an email, add one any time — it doesn't require re-registering your profile.
Every deal lives in escrow on Arc Testnet and is publicly verifiable — check the transaction link in "My Deals," or search your wallet address on Arcscan. Since this runs on testnet infrastructure, also confirm your wallet is connected to Arc Testnet (chain ID 5042002) and not a different network.
